Help in Paleto Bay

What has changed for people staying in Paleto Bay since 27 September 2026, and where to find help.

If you are in danger or someone is hurt, call 911. Police, fire and medical services are operating from Paleto Bay.

Curfew

There is no curfew in Paleto Bay. The curfew from 22:00 to 06:00 announced on 26 September was lifted on the night of 27 September.

Gatherings

You do not need a permit to meet. The rule that gatherings of more than six evacuees need a permit has been lifted.

Motels and accommodation

Motels are no longer asked to check whether evacuees can pay. The instruction given on 26 September has been withdrawn.

Public services

Los Santos services, including the Los Santos Fire Department and the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, are operating from Paleto Bay while Los Santos is closed. Agencies A to Z lists every State agency.

The Earthquake Support Payment is paid automatically. You do not need to apply or travel anywhere to receive it.

The Governor's visit

Governor Diane Carrow will visit Paleto Bay in the next few days to meet residents. The visit will be announced on this website.

Thanks to responders

The State thanks the firefighters, deputies, officers, medics and residents who helped people during the earthquake and its aftermath. The Governor has closed every State investigation into the conduct of officers and first responders during that time.
